Dodge depth charges, undersea mines and torpedoes. Collect records and save dance music at all costs! Battle against the fearsome Styliods and help your Captain get a good night's sleep.

I'm a new game developer, this is my first Pico 8 game but I'm making steady progress on this one and will be releasing regular updates until it meets my standards.

It's still in development, but ready for some gameplay. Please enjoy and let me know if you run into any bugs or gameplay issues.

The game is interesting, i like how it goes, but the controls are hard, keep developing! my record was 12450 points B/

Thank you for playing and giving feedback. Improving the controls is one of my highest priorities. The game is hard with the keyboard but feels better to me with a controller. Nice score!

I re-wrote the movement code, added one more active torpedo, and made the enemies more interesting. I also made the emergency blow to bring the ship up higher. So I think it is more fun to play now.

Hello!

So, my goal in this gameplay this time was: to beat my previous record, find all the monsters, and also test all the mechanics in just one gameplay.

The game lasted about an hour until I achieved all the objectives and my verdict is that it improved a lot, the more fluid movement really helps when dodging projectiles, however, I missed using the emergency blow, as the movement improved quite a few, there were few moments when I really NEEDED to use the emergency blow, but I believe this is something that can be worked around;

moving on to the monsters, I think my biggest fun was looking for the blue chopper, I think half an hour of my gameplay was trying to find it, and then, when I managed to do that, it was surprisingly very rewarding. adding new rare monsters to be found  can be cool!

One thing about the battle gameplay against monsters is that their movements are very predictable, if new monsters are added (or if you prefer to continue with the new ones)

each one could have a different movement pattern, leaving the generic only for the red scratcher.

Other than that, very good game, I had a lot of fun, and I hope to continue seeing updates, thank you!

Thank you so much for the in depth feedback. It's really fun to know someone has played my game! I think your high score is higher than mine. Meaning you may just be the greatest Oceaneer: Endless Runner player in the world. :)

Writing better pathfinding for the enemies is also on the list but I'm still figuring out how to make it happen. It will definitely be updated before the 1.0 version of the game.

The emergency blow should work, I use the Z key for it on my keyboard. One thing I found that's interesting is you can use the emergency blow to "jump" over falling depth charges.
